NSF DRL seeks Program Officer with STEM + CS Expertise

The Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR), Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL), at the National Science Foundation announces a nationwide search for temporary program directors with expertise at the intersections between computer science (as well as related fields) and research on science, technology, engineering or mathematics learning.

Formal consideration of applications will begin on November 15, 2016 and will continue until a selection is made.

NSF seeks PO with evaluation expertise

NSF's Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL) in the Education and Human Resources Directorate (EHR) announces a Nation-wide search for one Program Director with expertise in the evaluation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and education research programs, policies and projects.

The incumbent will serve as the lead for conceptualizing evaluation efforts across the Directorate and will represent the Directorate and Division on agency and interagency task forces and committees related to evaluation. 

NSF Proposal Writing Workshop in Maine

NSF is coming to New England for an “NSF Day” on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor (hosted by University of Maine).  NSF Days are one day workshops that are designed to share with prospective NSF-funded PIs best practices and tips to writing strong proposals in order to secure funding for valuable research. This is a great opportunity for early career researchers. Registration is limited to 200 people.

The NSF Division of Undergraduate Education in collaboration with AAAS will offer an Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE) Program webinar for institutions interested in improving undergraduate education for PRE-SERVICE STEM TEACHERS on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 05:00 PM to 6:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time.  

Speakers will include NSF Program Officers in the IUSE Program, Kathleen Bergin & Sandra Richardson.
