This meeting highlighted issues in the NRC report, Successful K-12 STEM Education, with a special focus on technologies to promote K-12 STEM learning and teaching. It included breakout sessions on projects, resources, and initiatives that align with the report’s evidence base on effective instruction, access to high quality STEM for all students, and building supportive infrastructure. Presenters were drawn largely from NSF-supported programs, and well-recognized STEM Schools.

At the May 12th workshop, participants learned about National Science Foundation and other funded research, programs, and resources to improve career and technical education across secondary and post-secondary levels for middle-skill STEM occupations.

What are some strategies for making online courses compliant with legal mandates, specifically — and more generally, welcoming to, accessible to, and usable by all students, including those with disabilities, who wish to engage in online learning offerings?

STELAR will host NSF Program Officers Bob Russell and Erick Jones as they present a webinar on National Science Foundation funding for R&D education projects funded through the Dear Colleague Letter Catalyzing the Future of Making (NSF 15-086).
