I primarily teach introductory physics courses for undergraduates at the University of Missouri. My research and service interests are in K-12 education and teacher preparation. I lead the recruiting program, Tomorrow's Outstanding Physics Teacher (http://topteacher.missouri.edu) to promote and improve the education of future secondary physics teachers. This program is funded by the American Physical Society's Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC). Prior to working in higher education, I taught high school physics for 5 years in Denver, Colorado and Sedona, Arizona.
