SREE Fall Conference: preliminary program online

 

The preliminary program for the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness Fall 2011 Conference "Building an Education Science: Improving Mathematics and Science Education for All Students" is online: https://www.sree.org/conferences/2011f/program/

The plenary and general break-out sessions of the conference run Thursday-Friday, September 8 & 9.

Over the weekend, Saturday-Sunday, September 10 & 11, 2 two-day short courses will be offered:

(1) Research Design, led by Larry Hedges of Northwestern University

(2) Hierarchical Linear Modeling, led by Michael Seltzer of UCLA Details on the courses are available at the end of the conference program.

These courses are by admission, with candidates answering a short series of questions which address methodological & statistical backgrounds and the prospective application of course material in future research.

SREE plans to inform applicants of their status in early July, to allow participants to finalize their travel arrangements. SREE encourages those interested in participating in a short course to complete the application process in the next two weeks.

The short course fee will be waived for NSF grant recipients.
