2023 DRK-12 PI Meeting Session Speaker Information

Session Descriptions

A short description of your session is listed on the print agenda; the full description is posted on Whova, our meeting app. Please review both and contact cadre@edc.org if there are inaccuracies. To review the online version, please open the email from Whova (event-noreply@whova.io) that you’ll receive. (Be sure to check your SPAM filter if you don’t see the email in your inbox by May 26th.) That email will provide a link and instructions to log in with your registered email address and access the virtual meeting site.

Room Assignment and Set-up

The agenda lists your session room and time assignment. All concurrent session rooms will be set in rounds with a head table and podium, with the exception of the conference theater which has set theater seating. There is a short break between some of the session blocks. Please be sure to end your session on time and return the room to its original state so that the next group can get set-up promptly.

AV

Each room will have a projector, screen, flipchart, mic at the podium, and an AUX connection to speakers. We are not providing laptops. Please bring your own laptop and back-up your presentation (including videos) ahead of time as a safety net. Wireless internet will be accessible throughout the meeting spaces.

Presentation Materials

Send your presentation to cadre@edc.org to post the CADRE website for the public to view. Be sure that you have permission to use any images you include in your slides and that you’ve added the NSF acknowledgement and disclaimer: "This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. (Insert your NSF grant number). Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation."

Presenter Roles

We encourage each presenter group to assign someone to take notes about the session using the notes form. CADRE will use the notes to share the proceedings and support next steps as appropriate.

Engaging Your Audience

To seed interest in your session and conversation about your topic, we encourage you to post and respond to questions and chat on your session page in the Whova app prior to, during, and after your session convenes. Refer to the Whova Speaker Guide for instructions and additional information about how to optimize your session.
