NSF Resource Centers CADRE, STELAR and CIRCL have teamed up to help organize this upcoming event:
The National Science Foundation is supporting a Nov. 9 forum titled “Next Generation STEM Learning for All” with thought leaders comprised of researchers and practitioners from multiple sectors, including K-12, higher education, informal learning, workforce development, policy, business, and industry.
Where: Washington Marriott at Metro Center
When: Nov. 9, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Who: Speakers include experts including researchers, school leaders and teachers, and NSF program officers from a broad field of education research. Opening remarks start at 8:30 a.m. featuring Joan Ferrini-Mundy, NSF Assistant Director for Education and Human Resources and Tom Kalil, Deputy Director for Technology and Innovation at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Closing remarks at 4:30 p.m. will feature speakers including Mario Cardona, Senior Policy Advisor, White House Domestic Policy Council and Sylvia James, the Human Resources Division Director in NSF’s Directorate for Education and Human Resources.
