CADRE is pleased to share a new resource as part of our continuing efforts to support early career STEM education professionals. The CADRE Early Career Guide offers insights on becoming a successful researcher in the field of STEM education, and profiles the CADRE Fellows program. The tips offered throughout the guide come from PIs and others in the DRK-12 community who over the years have offered advice to doctoral students and other early career researchers through the Fellows program.
The guide is divided into three parts. Parts I and II provide tips and resources on:
- Pursuing Academic Careers
- Pursuing Non-Academic Careers
- Writing for Publication
- Building Professional Networks
- Developing NSF Proposals
Part III profiles the CADRE Fellows program and is designed to serve as a model for those who advise, supervise, or mentor graduate students and other early career professionals.
Thank you to all who helped to make the Early Career Guide possible! We invite you to share the guide with your own graduate students, departments and institutions, or others in your network who might benefit.
