New Assessment publication

From the Aspen Institute:

On Friday, December 17, 2010, the Aspen Institute Education and Society Program released a new publication, Assessment 2.0: "Next-Generation" Comprehensive Assessment Systems, with a panel discussion featuring Laura Slover of Achieve, Inc., representing the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC); Joe Willhoft, Executive Director of the SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium; and Prof. Michael Feuer, Dean of The George Washington Graduate School of Education and Human Development. The engaging and thought-provoking conversation raised important questions about the opportunities and challenges represented by the new assessment consortia and their proposed, Common Core State Standard-aligned assessments.
