This meeting highlighted issues in the NRC reports Successful K-12 STEM Education and Monitoring Progress Toward Successful K-12 STEM Education, with special focus on college and career readiness. It included breakout sessions on projects, resources, and initiatives that align with the reports' evidence base on effective instruction, access to high quality STEM for all students, and building supportive infrastructure. Presenters were drawn largely from NSF-supported programs and well-recognized STEM Schools. Participation by teams was encouraged.
